He also pursued a Master of Public Administration degree at the Ateneo de Manila University, where he graduated with honors.

In 2016, Vico worked as a consultant for the City Council of Pasig, which sparked his interest in public service. In 2019, at the age of 29, he ran for mayor of Pasig City and defeated the incumbent mayor who had been in power for almost three decades. This made him the youngest mayor in the history of Pasig.

As mayor, Vico has implemented various reforms and programs aimed at improving the lives of Pasig residents. He has focused on good governance, transparency, and inclusivity in his leadership. He has also prioritized education, healthcare, and infrastructure development in the city.
